reading the posts about the 2011-7-15 watchtower about mentally retarded apostates i foresee the following scenario:.
1. congregational elders trying to get grip on non regular publishers and inactive witnesses.. 2. the good ones read in the watchtower that apostates are to find in the local congregation.
3. inactives like me (i hate this name, but i use their language), and liberal witness like me, will be hunted, .
What their afraid off is people like us, people like stuckinamovement and many others that are still active because of family reasons but are not willing to kowtow their flavor-aid.
Please help us with this campaign - send this open letter out to all your Witness friends, family and contacts even if you want to do it anonymously, submit it to your local papers and churches:

It's already climbed Google to the first place for 'open letter to the governing body of jehovah's witnesses' and I received a personal copy today when it hit one of the official Watchtower distribution lists to certain overseers so somebody is helping!
It's been sent to journalists, to elders, witnesses, ex-witnesses and family of witnesses so hopefully somebody will start talking about it.
without specifics being mentioned as to what it is......(to avoid tipping off certain lurkers).. how many people know about the upcoming summer long campaign?

a few years past, i remember a post mentioning that this was the last period of the circuit overseer arrangement.
apparently, a local brother would be chosen to represent the society, and visit the congregations.
just wondering, because our co hasn't announced who the new co is, and he is suddenly retiring.
I doubt the spirit of the arrangement would change much, maybe they might change the name and change how they are being reimbursed (put the financial load on one or more of the congregations directly).Maybe they toyed with the thought in their ivory towers but the matter of fact is that they need those yes-men to reinforce "good practice" in the elder bodies or they would veer off, see Menlo Park for example.
In some congregations even with the browbeating every 6 months there are major issues in the elder bodies allowing homosexuality and promiscuousness, not handing off forms correctly and missing paperwork especially if the elder body has nobody older than 50.

The open letter has been published and sent to journalists, witnesses, ex-witnesses and their families. It has also hit at least some Bethel distribution lists some of which were open (no verification) so elders and others in position have been reached in several locations. Please help us publish this.

In concert with the Undercover Brother campaign that has started among dissenting, active Jehovah's Witnesses I am starting a (personal) campaign to inform the uninformed.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
- Collect/harvest all e-mails (and if you do letter writing you could do your letter writing to Witnesses as well and count it as service time) from your fellow witnesses. Chain mails are great sources of random addresses.
- Create one or more e-mail accounts on an anonymous e-mail service like hushmail.com or any listed here http://www.google.com/search?q=anonymous+e-mail
- Send out this letter to as many people as you would like including your elders, your friends, your family, whoever you think is worthy but try to avoid the 'superfine apostles'.
- Include some INFORMING websites such as this one, jwfacts.com, jwreform.org etc.. Do not include Six-Screens or other Crazy Apostate websites or 'marked' literature such as Crisis of Conscience.

my friend who still goes to meetings to please family said he was listening to cnbc today.. he said the government is talking about taxing religions.
the one religion they did focus on was the jehovahs witnesses.
supposedly they said why is this group making this much tax free money and they never pay any clergy or help members with any finances.. maybe they will realize it is just a publishing company using people for free labor to get richer and richer.
JW's have a thing for over exaggerating 'good' news stories.
750M/month would mean >$100/month donations from each individual active JW. That is $10,000/congregation/month. Trust me, the figure is at best 1/10th of that in your average rich congregation (if that) not to speak of the millions living in 3rd world countries.
I believe the report actually said 750M/year although I think the correct figure is 900M? It's somewhere on these forums and other websites. The net value is a lot more (it's estimated at $1B in the UK alone) but converting that value in actual liquidity may be more difficult.
